All of the bedrooms are en suite, and some have features dating back many hundreds of years. The Royalist Hotel offers rooms with a surprising range of sizes, styles and prices to suit most requirements. The Royalist Hotel has 14 bedrooms ranging from the cosy and eccentric Porch Room, to the dramatic Maugersbury Suite with its high vaulted ceilings, and upstairs jacuzzi bath.

The Royalist's award winning restaurant, the 947AD, is at the heart of the hotel's justly deserved reputation for offering the finest in food, wine and service. Located next door to The Royalist Hotel, The Eagle & Child is one of Stow's most popular pubs. The Eagle & Child offers a less formal atmosphere in which to enjoy good food, or guests can simply relax and sample some of the area’s finest local ales.

The Royalist offers a seasonal menu ranging from Roast Scallops with Apple Purée, Artichoke Crisps and Scrumpy Sauce, to Roast Venison with Pear and Juniper Berry Tatin. For dessert, try '947AD' Grande Assiette, or a selection of English Cheeses with homemade caraway water biscuits for a truly memorable experience.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, a fixed amount of GBP 50.00 will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

A fixed amount of GBP 50 per room will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
