Area information On foot, by bike or on a horse back - explore the beautiful nature of Altmark however you like. Sandy paths lead trough woods and meadows. Without any gates they offer perfect possibilities for excursions with a horse. Furthermore there are various cycle ways for all who rather relax on their bike. More than 1500 km of paths lead through untouched landsacpes, cultural sights and interesting attractions. Towns like Stendal and Tangermünde an der Elbe, the nature reservation Elbauen and the holiday centre Arendsee can best be explored with day trips. Get enchanted by fantastic and unexpected new worlds. Travel information By plane: Airport Berlin (150 km), privat Airport Borstel (10km/ with shuttle) By train: till Stendal (all shuttle tours with "Gourmettaxi" to the hotel 50% reduced) or till Steinfeld (5 walking minutes away). By car: From Berlin or Hannover - A2 exit Magdeburg / Stendal. Continue on B189 to Stendal. Change to B188 to Gardelegen and follow this street to Insel. In Insel turn right to Moringen / Schinne. After 8 km you reach the hotel. From Hamburg: exit Luneburg. Continue on B71 via Ulzen and Salzwedel to Gardelegen. Turn left to Birmark/Kladen/Stendal. Having passed Steinfeld turn right to Moringen/Insel. After 500 you are at the hotel.
