Its 18 cottages were created by theatrical designer Sally Henzell to commune with garden, very much appreciated, sea and sky. Rooms

23 cottages including two, two-bedroom villas nestled in naturally landscaped grounds. Octopussy 1,2,3 (introduced in 2003 as honeymoon suites) are large one-bedroom units with outside showers and tubs as well as spacious Moroccan-inspired roof decks. Each room is uniquely apponinted with pieces that reflect passion for eclectic taste.

Cancellation policy

-Deposit Required: 3 nights upon Booking -Cancellation Policy: *45 Days Prior To Arrival: Full Refund on the 3 Night Deposit. *Inside 45 Days: 3 Night Deposit is forfeited, NON-refundable. *4 or Fewer Days Prior To Arrival AND Reservations During Peak Travel Periods AND No Shows: NO Refund, and Final Payment (balance of stay) is also Forfeited. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

The food at Jakes is a reflection of the hospitality that is unique to the South Coast. Breakfast is from 7:30am -12 noon, price ranges from USD 3-10. Lunch is from 12 noon - 6pm, prices ranges from USD 10-25. Dinner is from 6pm - 10pm, prices range from USD 10-25. Fresh is the order of the day- fish; crab and lobster are bountiful and constant. By prior arrangement Jakes chefs will give a cooking lesson to a maximum of 4 persons. Learn the secrets of Jerk cooking and spices, how to prepare certain exotic tropical fruits like ackee and traditional dishes like 'Run Down'. Lessons have to be planned for midweek, between 3 and 5 PM. Little Ochie restaurant offers some of the best and freshest seafood you will find in the world. It's a great setting ? on the beach - old boats have been given thatched roofs, raised on stilts and outfitted with benches and tables. Blackie, the proprietor, is one of Jamaicas truly great chefs. Pick your fish, shrimp, lobster, crab or sea puss (octopus) from one of several huge cold-boxes - have it weighed and tell them how you want it cooked. A full moon boat ride to have dinner at Little Ochie is the like. Jack Sprat has the entertainment and Bars. One can experience the most Jamaican of drinks such as "Strong Back" and "Bridal Wiss". Too much dancing, then chill out on the beach.

Jake's is just two hours from Montengo Bay airport, one and half-hours from Negril, and a three-hour drive from the capital city of Kingston. -The nearest commercial airport is Montego Bay. Jakes is a 2 1/2 hour car ride from the airport, and transportation with professional personnel can be arranged directly with the property. -The airport shuttle (available at all times) is USD 115 one way for 3 people, any additional people are USD 20 each. -Shuttle is also available for wherever guests want to go in and around Jamaica. The cost depends on where you are going.
Area information Horseback riding is at Font Hill Beach Park (45 min. from the hotel). Golf Course (Mandeville - 90 min. from the hotel).
