This award-winning Southampton bar and restaurant launched its stylish new look in autumn 2007. The launch followed an extensive 3-month refurbishment programme that has transformed the former seafarers’ hotel into the height of boutique accommodation. Facilities include a fully equipped private meeting room for up to 16 people, a dedicated lounge and reception, and a trendy urban roof garden.

Food & Beverages

The White Star is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. The seasonal menu offers an exciting selection of modern British classics, making superb use of great local ingredients. The White Star has 2 AA Rosettes, which the AA awards to 'excellent restaurants that stand out in their local area'. The bar and restaurant is a popular venue for regular guests. In the warmer months, many choose to dine al fresco. Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 09:30 (Monday to Friday), and from 09:00 until 12:00 (weekends).

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Public parking is possible at a location nearby (reservation is not possible) and charges are applicable.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is not included, breakfast menu is available and costs vary.  Full English breakfast is not included, breakfast menu is available and costs vary. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

Children cannot be accommodated at the hotel.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
