The Black Horse Inn

Dating back to the 12th Century, very much appreciated, this beautiful Olde Worlde building has a thatched roof and original beamed ceilings. Visitors appreciate the hotel at Shipston-on-Stour is conveniently situated central to many attractions in the Midlands. We also offer a good selection of traditional hand-pulled ales. Improvements have recently been made to the inn, and above all, including a lovely non- smoking dining room, where we serve delicious home-cooked, primarily English, food, freshly prepared and cooked to order. In the summer, very much appreciated, you can enjoy our award-winning gardens, both at the front and rear of this wonderful old thatched pub, whereas in the winter we have lovely large, open log fires. Please note that we do not serve food on a Sunday evening. Whilst being located in the town we still maintain the atmosphere of a village pub, and above all, with very friendly locals and a resident ghost.

Breakfast is served from 07:00 until 10:00. Lunch is served from 00:00 until 02:00. Dinner is served from 06:00 until 09:00.

No smoking in the rooms. Breakfast can be served outside in the summer, weather permitting. An early start breakfast can be arranged if notified the night before. Pets are allowed by special request.
