Hotel Equatorial Shanghai is rated as a 4-star hotel by the China National Tourism Administration. It was given the Best Hotel in Jing An District award in February 2009.

The Hotel Equatorial has a fantastic range of dining options available to its guests. These include: -Golden Phoenix Restaurant which is an Equatorial signature restaurant specializing in contemporary Cantonese cuisine. -The Steak House offering a range of delicious steaks and fresh seafood. -Tomi Japanese Restaurant features a fantastic sushi bar and a la carte Teppanyaki offerings. -The Cafe is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers daily sumptuous buffets and an a la carte menu. A wide range of international dishes feature here. -E-Cafe is the perfect venue for enjoying a drink and a light snack when there’s work to be done! The cafe features wifi. -The Lobby Lounge is the hotel’s cosmopolitan bar, serving afternoon tea, evening cocktails and a resident pianist performing nightly.

Rates quoted are in USD on our website. Upon check out at the hotel, charges will be in CNY and exchange rate from USD to CNY will be the daily exchange rate. Please note that in case you are settling your hotel bill in local currency or by credit card there might be a difference in the room rate due to the currency exchange rate changes.

Internet via modem is available in the hotel rooms and costs USD 15.80 per 24 hours.  Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in public areas and costs USD 15.80 per 24 hours.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is not applicable.  15 % service charge per room per night is not included.  There is no city/tourist tax. 

Meal Plan

American breakfast costs USD 12.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged USD 33.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
