Area information The skiregion Semmering is the most important ski and hiking area in the surroundings of Vienna. Up to 1700m you find 1 cable car, many lifts and the World-Cup night-slope, Austria's largest quarterpipe for snowboarding, cosy huts for romantic hot wine parties, a lightended toboggan run from Hirschenkogel, cross country skiing tracks in the romantic landscape of Semmering, horse sleigh riding, curling, golf, hiking, guided tours with picknick, sportive events or competitions can be arranged. Travel information Hotel Panhans is situated 95 km south of Vienna. You can reach us via the motorway A2 ("Südautobahn") and the Semmering freeway S6 in less than one hour. From Vienna, there are also up to 10 daily train connections. Take the train from Vienna (Südbahnhof) to Semmering. We can order a taxi for you, please call us in advance and tell us your arrival time.
