The 3-star Hotel am Schloss offers comfortable rooms with modern amenities, very much appreciated, including free broadband internet access. This traditional hotel occupies an attractive half-timbered building set back from the road in a quiet courtyard in the centre of Schwerin, valued throughout, just 200 metres from the lovely Burgsee lake. Let the tasty breakfast buffet tempt you out of bed and get your day off to a good start. Many of the rooms feature original wooden beams. From the front door, very much appreciated, you can enjoy views of the lake and Schwerin palace which is located on an island. This is included in your room price. Alternatively, highly regarded, hire a bicycle from the the hotel and explore the region on 2 wheels. The Mecklenburg State Theatre, and above all, the museums and all of Schwerin's sights are easy to reach on foot.
