Food & Beverages

Start the day with a rich and varied breakfast buffet served on the spacious upper floor of the hotel. We offer regional products with a focus on organic farming and we also buy fair trade products. Our guests can serve themselves at the breakfast buffet to arrange a lunch package for the day. There is a fridge in front of the rooms 1 and 2 where you can have free beverages (mineral water and juice). The other beverages (champaign, wine, beer etc.) are available at an additional cost that is to be paid on departure.

Area information This picturesque small town in the Vogelsberg region features a cosy old quarter with lovely timbered houses, the gothic Liebfrauenkirche (church) with an altar dating back to 1385 and a city hall which is a listed building. There are numerous events and markets throughout the year e.g. the Europe Fest, the Schotten Fest with a European pipe band competition, the Schotten games and the Schotten classic grand prix. The region also offers many hiking and cycling paths and a summer toboggan run at Hoherodskopf. There is a special cycle path which runs along the edges of extinct volcanoes (Vulkanradweg) for cyclists as well as inline skaters. The buses offer a special service on weekends which goes through the entire cycle path. Bikes can be taken on free of charge. Travel information From the main road B 276 turn into Parkstrasse towards the church steeple. Follow the street onto the marketplace. HOCHZEITSHAUS MARKT 8 is located opposite the church and the historic town hall (marked as HISTORISCHES RATHAUS). Special traffic routing/pedestrianised areas are in place on weekends during the summer. Any petrol station in town will be able to give you directions to our hotel.

If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
