We offer a comprehensive, delicious breakfast buffet. We are situated a 5-minute walk from the town centre, where you will find numerous eating establishments offering typical Baden cuisine. Cool drinks are available in our hotel at all times.

A free transfer is available between the hotel and Schluchsee railway station. Please contact the hotel via telephone with your estimated time of arrival. Payment for the costs of your overnight stay has to be made on arrival at the hotel, and only cash payment is accepted. Bookings of 1 night only will be charged with an extra fee of EUR 3 per person.

Area information In the climatic health resort of Schluchsee you find a large lake of the same name, here in the heart of the Black Forest. Enjoy the fresh mountain air as you savour the wonderful natural surroundings. During the summer there is much to explore: discover the lake, the valleys and the mountains by mountain biking or Nordic walking. Visit the quaint "Vesperstube" or unwind in the meadows amid one of Germany's most beautiful landscapes. In 2005 Schluchsee was voted "hiking town of the year". During the winter, the town appears even more romantic beneath a layer of snow. Cross-country ski paths lead you through the forest, or you can go sledging down the mountains before returning to our villa for a warming mug of mulled wine. Travel information Arriving by car: Via the A5 motorway: - Exit at Freiburg Mitte - Continue straight ahead via the B31 and head towards Donaueschingen/Titisee-Neustadt - Continue on the B500 towards Waldshut/Schluchsee - Once you have entered Schluchsee turn left towards Riesenbühl, Schluchsee, Fischbach - After approx. 200 metres turn left into Mattenweg (follow the signposts to "Pension Mattenhof") - Pass through a small underpass and past a long hedge, and then turn left immediately to reach the hotel entrance Via the A81 motorway: - Exit at Bad Dürrheim A81/A864 - Take the B31 towards Freiburg/Donaueschingen/Titisee-Neustadt and continue as above From Zürich: Pass through Surbtal, Koblenz, Waldshut, Schluchsee via the B500 and then continue as above Arriving by train: - ICE, IC and EC services operate to Freiburg - Every hour, a regional train operates from Freiburg to Schluchsee - We would be happy to pick you up from Schluchsee station free of charge

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled or modified up to 1 day before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. EUR 1.90 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children from 0 to 6 years are charged EUR 9.00 per night and person when using existing bedding. All children from 7 to 12 years are charged EUR 14.00 per night and person when using existing bedding. All older children or adults are charged EUR 21.00 per night and person when using existing bedding. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
