Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands, situated 200 miles off the west coast of North West Africa at about 280 latitude and 16.50 longitude. Tenerife enjoys one of the worlds best and diverse climates normally found only on huge continents. Due to the year round trade winds that roll over the Canary Islands and the Gulf Stream, Tenerife is known as the Island of “Eternal Springtime”. The average temperatures are an agreeably mild level of around 22C, with pleasantly warm summers and temperate winters rarely below 20C.
