Area information Situated a few kilometres from Abbeville and the many tourist sites of the Bay of the Somme and the Opal Coast, Saint-Riquier is one of the most prestigious and interesting sites of the Somme department. It boasts an amazing historical and architectural heritage. The Nature Reserve of the Bay of the Somme is 20 km away from the hotel. It is known worldwide for its rich fauna and flora. The Jardins de Valloires (gardens) lie beneath a majestic Cistercian abbey in the heart of the Authie Valley, 25 km from the hotel. Laid out by worldwide famous landscape gardener Gilles Clément, they feature over 5,000 varieties of mainly Asian plants and shrubs. The underground city of Naours is 30 km from the hotel. It is a real city dug by human hands 33 metres below ground level, and it consists of 26 galleries, 300 chambers, 6 chimneys, public squares, and a chapel.
