Food & Beverages

Enjoy a pre-meal drink in our popular bar, or a light bite from our extensive bar menu at lunchtime. Our best recommendation is that the Castle bar and restaurants are popular venues for the friendly locals as well as for guests. We have an excellent reputation for serving fine food at modest prices. Everything is cooked to order by our team of chefs from fresh ingredients delivered daily, and you really will notice the difference in taste. We use only the finest local produce with Welsh black beef and Welsh fresh lamb a speciality. We offer a choice from our daily table d'hôte 3-course menu or you can choose from the à la carte menu. Either way. you will find a choice of dishes to appeal to every taste. Our friendly head chef is always happy to cater for any special dietary requirements given sufficient notice. We believe that a meal should be an experience in its own right and a memorable part of any stay. So please feel free to take your time as your table is yours for the whole evening.

There is a strict non-smoking policy throughout all rooms. Should you require an early/late check-in/check-out, please contact the hotel immediately after making your reservation. Please note that this is subject to availability and carries an additional cost.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 10 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged GBP 25.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
