Our hotel, valued throughout, inside the wall of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a picturesque town dating back to the Middle Ages, is strongly connected to the history of the town. Right opposite Hotel-Gasthof Breiterle is the Roeder Tower which is located near the well-known Gerlach blacksmith’s shop in the old town centre.

Hotel details

The idyllic old guest-house with its former brewery "Zum Breiterle" was acquired in the early 18th century by the last Hege-Riders, also called the "Bereiter", previously were in charge of the so-called "Landhege" of the old Free Town of Rothenburg and had their residence at the "hege-Riders' House" in the hospital's courtyard. This is the historical background of our house's name "Zum Breiterle"

Take the first street left (Rosengasse) until you reach the intersection at Rosengasse / Roedergasse. The hotel is located opposite the intersection on your left hand side. Traffic is restricted on Saturday and Sunday. As a guest of our hotel you will have the permission to enter the old town.
