There are 2 rooms on the ground floor, but these are not suitable for wheelchair access nor people with severe walking difficulties. Please state at the time of booking if you require a lower-floor room. The public areas are access friendly

Hotel details

The Royal is a non-smoking Grade II listed building and as such has no lift. The ground floor is access-friendly. Barretts Restaurant is closed on a Sunday and Monday night. The restaurant may be fully booked on other dates, due to private functions

Deposit Policy

The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is non-refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

15 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is included.

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
