The hotel was inaugurated in the latter half of the 20th century to meet the needs of the artists, painters, sculptors, musicians, journalists and travellers who gravitated around Piazza del Popolo and the Luxor Cafè and gathered in this Bohemian area of the city. The staff at reception are happy to offer guests advice regarding what to see and do in Rome and to provide tourist information. Taxis are readily available from outside the airport and a taxi from the airport to the hotel should take about 40 minutes.
