Le Grand Large

Le Grand Large features a swimming pool heated from April to September, very much appreciated, and a jacuzzi. Gateway to the Re Island, valued throughout, Le Grand Large restaurant is located across from the Aix and Oléron Islands and it was renovated by the new owners. Half board is available. The restaurant looks out onto the sea and serves regional specialities. On the beach, very much appreciated, you can enjoy numerous activities such as catamaran, kayak, and boats without license. Le Grand Large also provides easy access and facilities for the disabled. There is a Mickey club for children.

Area information Numerous museums, such as the Magayant House (environmental heritage of the Estran), the Platin House, the Ecomuseum of the Salted Marsh, the Fier House and the Natural Reserve of Lilleau des Niges or the fish lock, are of great interest. Some places are full of history including the Chateliers’ Abbey, the St Martin Bell Tower, the Lighthouse of the whales (Phare des Baleines), the Fort of the Prée and the Ars Bell Tower. Enjoy sporting activities such as a Tour of the Marsh by canoe, jet-skiing, and fishing on the open sea. Re Island can be visited by bicycle, where there is 100 km of road for bicycles. Travel information By Train: La Rochelle train station is 15 km away from the hotel.
