Rooms

The hotel comprises 50 spacious rooms, equipped with toilet, shower, TV and telephone. A few rooms are equipped with bath. A good night's rest is indispensable for a pleasant stay. That is why we attach much value to the comfort of our beds. For invalid guests there are also rooms at ground level. The first floor is accessible by means of an elevator. All rooms are non-smoking

In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy clear water for swimming or fishing, large forrests, freshgreen meadows and characteristic towns like Stavoren, Hindeloopen and Workum. The hotel is a fine base for excursions: the Jopie Huisman Museum in Workum pittoresque fishing villages, like Hindeloopen en Stavoren situated along Friesland's eleven cities (famous Elfstedentocht:skating), five of the eleven cities are in our region. the historical fortified city of Sloten various boat tours over the Frisian lakes Hotel Gaasterland is also a perfect spot for organising a family reunion, staff day/night out or wedding party. Here it is possible to combine a nice and pleasant gathering with a well-cared-for festive meal and various activities. Hotel Gaasterland comprises various rooms for up to 350 guests. Your stay in Gaasterland: active and interesting! Our staff is always pleased to advise you on the various possibilities that Gaasterland has to offer. To give you a foretaste: In the immediate surroundings of the hotel there are various marked hike- and bicycle - routes. At 2,5 km from the hotel you find the IJsselmeer; a good place to take a swim, or for fishing and sunbathing. The Frisian Lakes (Friese Meren) are perfect for sailing or cruising. At the hotel you can rent bycicles and covered wagons.

Food & Beverages

If you want to enjoy a good meal, our restaurant is the perfect place to go to. You can choose from various dishes that are served in the form of a buffet. In our cosy bar you can play a game of billiard, play cardgames, or simply linger at the table. For a sporty spending of your sparetime you can roll up your sleeves on our bowling alley. The diner buffet (warm/cold) is served between 18.00 and 19.00 hours for EUR 20,50 per person

Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 14 days before date of arrival, 15 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, 35 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 60 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, 85 percent of the first night will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 40.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
