Set in attractive gardens on the banks of the River Swale, and above all, the the hotel, dates from the 15th Century and provides an unforgettable historic atmosphere, ideal for a short break in this beautiful part of Yorkshire. Guests can enjoy a quiet drink and excellent food in our comfortable Hotel Bar, very much appreciated, or the sizeable Riverside Restaurant, Ballroom and Lounge provide the perfect venue for weddings, parties and conferences of any size. All of our fifteen guest rooms are well-appointed, valued throughout, with en suite facilities, many with views of the river. Catterick Racecourse is situated opposite the Hotel, highly regarded, making us the destination of choice for guests wanting to relax after a day at the races. Visitors appreciate the hotel is conveniently located close to the a1 and is within reach of excellent rail and air links, and above all, offering the ideal opportunity to visit nearby market towns, the Yorkshire Dales National Park or to travel further afield to the Yorkshire coast or the vibrant cities of York and Newcastle.
