The long sandy beach is within easy walking distance, which is 100 metres,, very much appreciated, as are the numerous restaurants, shops and bars, for which the town is known. Situated in the centre of Rethymnon, valued throughout, this 4-star modern hotel is close to the entrance of the old town with its narrow streets, medieval castle and picturesque Venetian port. There is a small courtyard garden with a fountain for light refreshments throughout the day, highly regarded, as well as a breakfast room, cafe bar and lounge. The air conditioned rooms are well-decorated and maintained with basic wooden furniture and fittings. Achillion Palace also benefits from a rooftop freshwater swimming pool and sun deck, very much appreciated, which is open during daylight hours. Conference facilities for up to 120 people are available for business guests.
