Hotel details

The history of this first Gothic building in Prague dates back to the 13th century, when it was constructed as part of the St. Agnes monastery. The 2 buildings and the summer garden are historical landmarks. It remained part of the St. Agnes monastery until the 16th century. In the 17th century it was renamed ‘Casa Marcello’ after its owner, a member of an important Italian aristocratic family. Now Hotel Casa Marcello is one of the most prestigious hotels in Prague, offering all its guests very comfortable accommodation in a quiet part of Prague’s city centre, surrounded by Prague’s historical monuments, of which it forms a part.

Area information Just a few steps from the Old Town Square, the Vltava river and the business and shopping areas, Casa Marcello can be found in one of the quietest parts of historical Prague. It is situated next to the 1000-year old St Agnes monastery and 100 metres from Hastal Square. Prague is one of the most frequently visited places in Europe thanks to its high concentration of historical monuments and the overall appearance of its historical centre. All its monuments, such as Prague Castle with the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Old Town Square, Charles Bridge, the Jewish quarter, the St. Agnes monastery and Wenceslas Square are just a few steps from Hotel Casa Marcello. Travel information From Prague Airport: Buy tickets from vending machines at the airport or from a newspaper kiosk - you can use the same ticket for the bus and the metro. - Take bus 119 from outside the arrivals terminal. This bus runs every 7 to 20 minutes to Dejvická metro station, which is the last stop. - From Dejvická metro station, take metro line A to Můstek station (4 stops) - Change to line B and get off at Namesti Republiky - 3-minute walk to the hotel. From Hlavni nadrazi (main train station): - Take metro line C to Florenc (one stop) - Change to line B and get off at Namesti Republiky - 3-minute walk to the hotel.
