The hotel was completely renovated in 2004. It features 185 rooms and 13 suites with all the comfort of a five star hotel. Rooms are divided into rooms for smokers and non-smokers. Room service 24 hours.

The Grand Hotel Palace has 7 floors, 1 panoramic and 3 inner lifts, 3 restaurants, a winter garden with a café, a private beach and a shopping centre. An integral part of the hotel is the Terme & Wellness Palace with a complex of indoor swimming pools with thermo-mineral water and a spacious sun terrace, a Pilates holistic centre and a brand-new Ayurveda Centre. The entrances to all venues and facilities are included - have fun with the entertainment programme with special nights like a Jazzy or a Piano Night or try your luck at the the Grand Casino Portoroz. The fit programme includes morning gymnastics, water aerobics, cycling and walking tours as well as yoga, tai chi and Pilates 3 times a week.

Food & Beverages

Sample diverse Mediterranean dishes in the elegant atmosphere of the à la carte restaurant, which is open daily from 12:00 to 24:00. Traditional Istrian snacks and local wines are served at the tavern, which is ideal for smaller private groups. The Olive Garden is a wellness corner providing an extensive menu list of healthy, dietary and organic meals and drinks, open daily from 09:00 to 19:00. Figarola restaurant offers a variety of fish specialities, Mediterranean delights, snacks and delicious pizzas. Café Central serves homemade pastry and ice creams, accompanied by evening events and musical performances. Relax over a good cocktail and a fine cigar at the Portobar. Take part in afternoon tea parties and musical evenings at the Tea Room Apollo or relax in the romantic atmosphere with soft music, candlelights and excellent cocktails on the Mystica Terrace.

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and is free of charge.  Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 15.00 per day.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 1.01 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children from 2 to 14 years are charged 50 % of the room stay per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged 80 % of the room stay per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
