Villa Romana is a newly built four star hotel situated on the picturesque beach-front bay of Porto Empedocle, on the southern shores of Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. The mild Mediterranean climate is ideal for year-round pleasure. All rooms have a private terrace with views of either the sea or garden, just a few steps from the wide, sandy beaches. Service at Villa Romana is of the highest quality, ensuring all your needs are met. Our gourmet restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, serving typical Sicilian delicacies. Location Villa Romana is ideally located both leisure activities or for those who like to explore the ancient artifacts and ruins of centuries ago. The nearby harbor offers daily excursions to the Pelagie Islands. We are a short distance from the famous Turkish Steps. A short drive or bus ride delivers you to the Valley of the Temples and the city of Agrigento. The Greek temples date back to the 5th century B.C. Travel is convenient to both Palermo and Catania airports: Catania Airport 150 kms – from Catania airport take the A18 (Catania-Palermo freeway) to Caltanissetta, exiting at the SS640, following the signs to Agrigento then watch for the SS115 exit to Porto Empedocle. Palermo Airport 140 kms – from Palermo airport take the A20 Palermo-Mazara del Vallo freeway and exit at Castelvetrano to the SS115, then follow the signs towards Agrigento. Five kms before Agrigento you will take the Porto Empedocle exit and follow SS115 to the beach area (Lidi) and Via Nettuno n.1. Accommodations There are 33 double rooms, 1 single, and 9 triple. All rooms have private terraces with views of either the sea and/or the garden. Each room is modernly furnished and has a large, private bathroom.

Wireless internet is available in public areas and costs EUR 3.00 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 10.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 50.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
