Area information Mountains and valleys, forests, castles and palaces, wine and culture – all can practically be found at your doorstep. Whether on foot or by bicycle – various hiking and cycle paths around the hotel lead to the most beautiful places in the area. Whoever is interested in culture does not need to go far: The state’s capital and culture city of Dresden with its charming baroque old town is approx. 20 driving minutes from the hotel. Visit for instance the Semper Opera House, the Frauenkirche or one of the numerous museums. Discover the castles of Pillnitz, Weesenstein and Stolpen. Enjoy the bizarre rock formations of the Saxon Switzerland on foot or on a boat trip on the Elbe river. The world-famous bastion – the rock stage of Rathen – is considered to be Europe’s most beautiful natural theatre stage and is in the vicinity of the hotel, as is the fortress of Königstein.
