All rooms are en suite, each with a direct dial telephone, TV, radio, hairdryer, iron with board, tea/coffee making facilities and a work area. Some of our rooms have sofa beds suitable for children.

Hotel details

Opened in 1978, this purpose built hotel is set in its own grounds on the banks of the river Ugie. With a great reputation for food and value for money it has been serving visitors and the local community ever since. The hotel has a relaxing open foyer lounge, 2 bars and a restaurant overlooking the gardens. A fully-equipped gym and swimming pool help you to work off your dinner and the comfortable rooms have all you need for your stay. The Ballroom is a popular venue for weddings, dinners and large conferences of up to 250, with the Macdonald and conference rooms available for smaller meetings.

Food & Beverages

Famed throughout the Northeast, the hotel’s Ogilvies Restaurant offers some of the finest and freshest local seafood available. The journey is worth it just for Ogilvies’ sumptuous menu alone.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  One child under 3 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.  There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
