The Criterion Hotel has the best of both worlds - the old and the new. The art-deco facade and some parts of its interior are being preserved as part of the Heritage Conservation effort to enhance the old style ambience of the area surrounding Hay Street. The rooms, lobby and its restaurants have been designed to incorporate the style of yester year yet achieving a modern day look through studied creative designing. In contrast with the heritage grandeur of the building, the rooms reflect a fresh new concept in hotel room standards in Perth.

Experience the latest in alfresco dining at the the Criterion Brasserie. Dine and wine with our Master Chef's new Mediterranean and Continental menu creations. We have a wide range of smooth Australian wines to compliment your meals. The ambiance of the Oak & Ivy - British Pub is modern yet capturing the flavour of good times through its collection of memorabilia. Located at the basement is a perfect place during happy hour to unwind or for that cocktail before dinner. Our Italian & Mediterranean Cafe Restaurant offers a well spread Full Cooked Buffet. Breakfast is served from 6:30h to 10:00h daily .

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

100 percent of the first night will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

10 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast costs AUD 13.00 per person.  Buffet breakfast costs AUD 13.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged AUD 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. 

Please note that in case specific policies apply to a particular room or rate, the specific room/rate policy prevails over the general hotel policy
