Hotel details

The unique charm of traditional agriculture and warm hospitality will welcome you in the hotel 'Dragoner'. The name of the hotel is donated to its former owner, who served in a regiment of Dragoner, and now stands for best in quality. The property is owned by the family since 1905. Due to a lot of industry, hospitality and taste the family accomplished a well known and wonderful hotel.

The restaurant offers a large selection of regional and international dishes, fish and game specialities, and light meals. Be sure to try the hearty ostrich, lamb, beef and pork at the Grubers Steakstube.

We kindly ask our guests to arrive before 20:00 on Sundays and at weekends by 21:00 at the latest. If you will arrive later, please contact reception. If you do not contact reception we cannot guarantee your room. Many thanks for your understanding.

Coming from Augsburg: - Drive on the B17 - Before Hohenfurch take the B472 Then as above coming from the A7. Coming from Reutte (A), Füssen (B17): - In the city centre turn right onto Maierstraße - Follow signs to Oberammergau, Garmisch-Partenkirchen - At the end of Maierstraße turn right onto Ammergauer Straße. The hotel is located on the left. Coming from Munich, Starnberg, Weilheim, Peißenberg (B472): - Before Peiting take the exit Peiting Süd towards Ammergauer Straße. The hotel is located on the right side. Coming from Innsbruck (A), Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Oberammergau (B23): When coming from this direction you are already on Ammergauer Straße.
Area information The spa town Peiting is located 730 metres above sea level, and is perfect as a central base for exploring the region. There are numerous hiking paths nearby that lead to various attractions and you can also explore the surroundings by bicycle. In the summer you can go swimming in our pool or in one of the several lakes. Nearby you can also go ice skating, skiing or cross-country skiing and we can provide you with information about rafting, climbing and various mountain and ski tours. There are many beautiful churches and monasteries nearby including the parish church of St Michal which has a Gothic crypt and a Roman tower and the Church of Mary with Rococo décor. The famous Bavarian castles Linderhof, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau are near and the region also has numerous interesting museums. The baths at Schwangau and the rivers Ammer and Lech are also worth a visit. We will assist you planning your stay and can also organise a tour guide on request.

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged. In case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
