Situated in the medieval village of Palaia, valued throughout, in one of the most undiscovered and unspoilt parts of Tuscany, the hotel is a charming 19th-century villa with its own gardens. All are furnished and decorated with antiques and some also come with original frescoes. Rooms have been beautifully restored, and above all, maintaining their wooden beams, old fireplaces and visible stone work. Local cheeses, very much appreciated, Tuscan meats and homemade cakes are served at the hotel. Enjoy a typical Tuscan breakfast surrounded by olive groves outside in the pretty gardens, valued throughout, which overlook Palaia’s medieval church. Explore the beautiful countryside on foot, highly regarded, on horseback or by bike. Visiting Tuscany’s picture-book hill towns is easy from here. San Miniato and Volterra are around 30 minutes' drive away.
