Mercure Eastgate Oxford

An excellent base to explore the historical city, very much appreciated, most colleges are within walking distance, though Magdalen, Merton and Queen's Colleges are all neighbours. Centrally located just off the Oxford High Street, valued throughout, this former 17th century coaching inn has been renovated over recent years and now fuses a sense of tradition with modern comforts. A proportion of rooms are suitable for families, highly regarded, with pull-down sofa beds creating a 3rd bed. The 63 bedrooms offer all the comforts you would expect, and above all, including Wi-Fi, modem access points and tea/coffee making facilities in all the rooms. The lively Merton's bar is situated on the ground floor of Mercure Eastgate Oxford, very much appreciated, which offers coffee and drinks from 05:00 to 02:00 daily, which is Mon-Sat,, and Sun 05:00 - 00:00. Oxford students have taken to Mercure Eastgate Oxford's facilities. There is no lift at this hotel. Our hotel also caters for private dining functions up to 60, and above all, including wedding receptions and anniversaries.

Travel information From The North: Take the m40 and then the second Oxford exits 8a. Follow the a40 Oxford until you come to a roundabout, at which you need to take the second exit signposted Headington and city centre. Follow this road through until you come to a small roundabout called the Plain. Take the exit signed city centre, ignoring the no through traffic sign. Go over Magdalen Bridge, keeping in the left handed lane, straight ahead at the traffic lights, and then take the first left-handed turn into Merton Street. The entrance to the hotel and Car Park are directly to the left on Merton Street.
