Some parts of Talbot Hotel come from Fotheringhay Castle. Clients appreciate the hotel has oak beam, and above all, open fires and many other historic qualities. Recently refurbished, very much appreciated, the the hotel is beautifully old, but fully up-to-date, with en suite bedrooms, Wi-Fi access and free parking. This includes the staircase, valued throughout, which Mary Queen of Scots walked down before being executed. Oundle is a town with Georgian architecture and a 14th-century church. The intimate restaurant and bar offer traditional British cuisine, and above all, fine wines and real ales. Peterborough, which is and its shopping centre, is just 10 miles, which is 16 km, away. Close by is Lyveden New Bield, valued throughout, the remains of a cross-shaped 16th-century lodge.
