Travel information Binz is located in the east of the island of Rügen in the beautiful Bay of Prora. Rügen is easily accessed by road via the Rügendamm bridge. Berlin is a 4-hour drive via the A19 motorway, and Hamburg is 3.5 hours away via the A20 motorway. There are ferry connections to the nearby port of Sassnitz, and train connections to Sassnitz railway station. The ferry port and railway station are just a 20-minute drive away.
