The four-star hotel offers 70 comfortable, luxury rooms, all furnished in the colours green and cherry-wood, which relate to the colours of the natural surroundings of Oranjewoud. The rooms all with a terrace or a French Balcony, are equipped with all desired facilities which may be expected in a **** hotel. In addition a combi-microwave and a small safe can be found in the room. The large suites have extra seats, a bathroom with separate shower and for every guest a bathrobe.

The Willem van Haren museum in Heerenveen The Jopie Huisman museum in Workum The Frisian Nature museum in Leeuwarden The Skating museum in Hindeloopen Visiting a (ice) skating game at the famous Thialf ice stadion, or try ice skating your self! Travel information By Car: - From Amsterdam, take the A6 or A7 motorway (Almere - Emmeloord - Lemmer - Joure - Heerenveen) towards Oranjewoud. - Follow the signs for Oranjewoud and Tjaarda. - From Utrecht/Arnhem, take the A50 or A28 motorway to Zwolle, then the A32 motorway (Meppel - Heerenveen) towards Oranjewoud. - Follow the signs for Oranjewoud and Tjaarda to reach the hotel. - From Groningen, take the A7 motorway (en route to Heerenveen) towards Oranjewoud. - Follow the signs for Oranjewoud and Tjaarda. By Public Transport: From Schiphol International Airport to Oranjewoud, it is a 75-minute drive. By Train: You can reach Heerenveen via Zwolle or Leeuwarden every half an hour. To reach the hotel, you can take a taxi or local transport (the latter has to be requested at least an hour in advance). Please note that due to roadworks on the A32 motorway, we advise you to follow the temporary signs for Oranjewoud and Golden Tulip Tjaarda Oranjewoud.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs EUR 16.00 per person.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years are charged EUR 12.50 per night and person for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 27.50 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
