Our central location in the city centre is easy to find. The walking distance from the Main Station ('Hauptbahnhof') is only 800 m. By train: The hotel is in 10 minutes walking distance from the Main Station. If you have heavy luggage, we advise you to take a taxi or a bus. By bus you can take any line to the next bus stop 'Lappan'. The remaining 180 m will lead you through Heiligengeistwall and Heiligengeiststrasse. From our hotel, you can reach the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) and the central bus station (ZOB) in about 10 minutes on foot. The Horst Janssen Museum and Stadtmuseum (city museum) are located directly across the street. The Staatstheater (Oldenburg State Theatre), Lamberti Church, Edith-Russ-House for Media Art, the Landesbibliothek (Oldenburg State Library), Kulturzentrum PFL including the Public Library, and the Kultur-Etage (“culture loft”) can be reached in just a few minutes, as can the museum district and neighbouring Schlossgarten (palace garden) with its famous dendrological collection. In the museum district, you can look forward to the State Museum of Art and Cultural History (distributed across 3 locations, namely the Schloss (Palace), Prinzenpalais and Augusteum), the State Museum for Nature and Mankind as well as the Oldenburg Art Association (Kunstverein). The Weser-Ems-Halle, home to numerous exhibitions and events throughout the year, and the EWE-Arena sports venue are only 10 minutes away. You can reach the Marschwegstadion, which mainly hosts athletics and soccer events, by bus or cover the 2 km on foot. A pleasant 1.4 km walk through the Schlossgarten (Palace Garden) will lead you to the OLantis Huntebad, a spa centre boasting an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and entertaining facilities. The Pius-Hospital, Hospiz and Evangelische Krankenhaus hospitals are also close at hand. The Klinikum Oldenburg and REHA-Zentrum Oldenburg are situated in Oldenburg-Kreyenbrück, which is only 3.5 km from the city centre and well served by buses. There is a direct bus connection to the Carl von Ossietzky University (both campuses: Haarentor and Wechloy) and to the University of Applied Sciences Oldenburg / Ostfriesland / Wilhelmshaven (Campus Oldenburg). You can reach the Computer Science Institute OFFIS and adjacent IT businesses in only 15 minutes.
