Higher Huxley Hall is situated 7 miles south-east of Chester. Directions from the North: M6, then M56 and M53 carrying on to A55. Take the exit off A55 signposted to Chester, Whitchurch and A41, follow signs. Take 3rd left off roundabout.
At first set of traffic lights turn left onto A41, heading for Whitchurch. At next roundabout take first left, continuing on A41, still heading for Whitchurch. Take 4th road left, signposted to Waverton and Huxley.
Continue over crossroads through Waverton old village, past the church and alongside the canal. After crossing the canal bear right for 1.4 miles then turn right down named tarmac drive, opposite T junction where signs point to Huxley or the 7th House, on the right hand side after going over the canal bridge.
Directions from South: Take M6, leave at junction 16 towards Nantwich on A500. Follow directions for Chester on A51. After passing through village of Tilstone Fearnall, turn left at traffic lights onto A49 towards Whitchurch. Then (after 3/4 mile) take first right to Huxley. Next take 2nd left (after 3 miles approximately) at Huxley Chapel down through the village, past the 'Farmers Arms' pub to T junction, turn left and immediate right down long tarmac drive. Opposite Red Lane sign.
Road - Cheshire has good links to the national Motorway network and all parts of Britain. Rail - High-speed services run to Crewe and Chester from London's Euston and Paddington stations, and from Glasgow on the West Coast Main Line. Sea - Ferries from mainland Europe arrive at Newcastle and Hull, which is 3 hrs by road from Chester. Also, information for the Dublin to Holyhead ferry can be obtained by telephone.
