Your stay includes membership of Cascades, our own health and fitness club. Enjoy a swim in the ozone purified pool, or unwind in the whirlpool, sauna, steam room or solariums. The more energetic may prefer the championship squash courts, or in the grounds you can enjoy the all-weather tennis courts, a putting course and driving net. To explore locally, mountain bikes are available for hire. On the first floor, we are justifiably proud of the purpose built exercise studio and spacious new air conditioned gymnasium, containing the latest resistance and cross training cardiovascular exercise facilities. Our friendly, qualified instructors offer a full fitness assessment and inspired by the ever-changing river views, we will help you create your own personalised and balanced training programme. To really spoil yourself or a loved one, visit our second floor health spa, where our fully trained beauty therapists offer an extensive range of specialised treatments including aromatherapy, massage, manicure and facials. The hotel has been awarded 3-star rating by the AA.

Food & Beverages

The restful lounge provides a haven for you to relax and read the morning papers, or plan your day over coffee. The 'pub' atmosphere of our own bar offers a place for lunch or an early evening meal, to watch the wildlife, and the Haverthwaite Steam Trains from the Riverside Terrace.

Please note that the hotel is refurbishing the Pool Hall during January and February 2008 and therefore the Pool, Steam room, Spa Pool, and Sauna will not be available to guests during this time. The Gym, Squash Courts and other amenities will still be fully operational.

Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and is free of charge.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Full English breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  Extra beds are not available.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
