The Lounge Bar is the perfect place to relax in comfort. Enjoy a drink or sample something from the large range of bar snacks. Our restaurant also offers a full à la carte menu with a Welsh flavour, and an extensive wine list served in comfortable surroundings. For private dining, we have 2 function rooms. The Abbey Suite can cater for up to 120 people, while the Centenary Room can accommodate up to 40 people. The inaugural meeting of the Welsh Rugby Union took place in this wood panelled room on 12th March 1881.

Area information 'Waterfalls Country' stretches across the wooded valleys from Neath to the southern edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Marvel at the beauty of Melincourt and Aberdulais falls and the cascades at the Gnoll Country Park in Neath, all easily accessible. For the more adventurous, hike up to the deep gorges of the rivers Mellte, Hepste and Nedd Fechan. Nearby Margam Country Park offers beauty, history and wildlife set in 850 acres of glorious parkland. Afan Forest Park: 6 miles (9.7 km) - Voted one of the world's top 10 places to ride by 'What Mountain Bike' magazine in 2005. It boasts a huge selection of fantastic mountain-biking trails. Varying in length and difficulty, all trails offer adrenaline-boosting single-track descents and spectacular views of what is known as 'Little Switzerland', one of the most beautiful valleys in South Wales. Brechfa Forest: 39 miles (63 km) - Just outside Carmarthen, you can find more trails and beautiful views and scenery. Travel information By Car - The hotel is approximately 40 minutes west of Cardiff. - Leave the M4 at junction 43. - Take the A465 and follow signs for Neath, and then Neath town centre. - We are situated on the right-hand side, approximately 300 yards past the railway station. Br Train: Neath railway station is only 2 minutes’ walk away and has direct links to Swansea, London Paddington, Manchester Piccadilly and Newcastle upon Tyne. By Air: Cardiff International Airport is approximately 40 minutes’ drive. Bristol Airport is only 1 hour away. By Sea: Irish Ferries at Pembroke Dock is approximately 1 hour’s drive, and Fishguard Dock with the Stenna services to Roslare is approximately 1 hours and 30 minutes’ drive.
