We have nine individually designed bedrooms Descriptions: Room 1: "French Room" Pale green walls, summery flowers, stained glass in entrance, bathroom up stairs, seperate bath & shower. (Luxury Room) Room 2: "Marble Room" Used as our honeymoon suite. Green hand painted marble effect walls. Glass brick wall in blue bathroom, twin wash basins. (Luxury Room) Room 3: Dark wood beams on one wall, Mosaic tiled bathroom (Superior Room) Room 4: "African Room" Animal prints & African carvings, hand painted window with giraffe on wall (Standard Room) Room 5: "English Garden Room" Annex room with sloping windows over bed. Green bathroom with bath & shower (Executive Room) Room 6: Annex room with sloping windows. Red carpets and walls with seperate bath and shower. (Executive Room) Room 7: Handpainted Egg and feather pattern with matching curtains, at rear of hotel (Standard Room) Room 8: "Beach Room" Deep purple walls with beach paintings (Standard Room) Room 9: Disabled Access Twin room. Shower wet room. (Standard Room)

Cancellation policy

Reservations must be cancelled 2 days in advance of your arrival date. In the event of a no show or a cancellation in breach of this policy, the cost of the entire reservation will be charged. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

Children older than 12 years are considered adult for room occupancy.

Breakfast is served from 07:30 until 10:30. Lunch is served from 12:00 until 13:30. Dinner is served from 19:00 until 21:30. Price of Breakfast Buffet (if not included in Price of Room: 15 GBP). Price of Full English Breakfast (if not included in Price of Room): 7.50 GBP.

Travel information From the m25 and/or the a12: From the m25, exit at Junction 28 onto the a12 North towards Colchester. Continue on the a12 for 33.5 miles. Exit the a12 at Junction 25 (Marks Tey) and take the first exit on the roundabout, signposted the a120 to Stansted Airport and Bishops Stortford. Continue for 4.1 miles and then turn right onto the b1024 signposted to Earls Colne. After 3.4 miles turn left at the mini roundabout. The de Vere Arms is located half a mile up the road on the right hand side. From the m25 and/or the m11 and Stansted Airport: From the m25, exit at Junction 27 onto the m11 North towards Cambridge. After 14.6 miles exit the m11 at Junction 8a onto the a120 signposted to Colchester. Follow the signs to Colchester staying on the a120 for 23.4 miles. Turn left onto the b1024 signposted to Earls Colne. After 3.4 miles turn left at the mini roundabout. The de Vere Arms is located half a mile up the road on the right hand side. By train: Trains can be taken from London Liverpool Street to Clacton. The stop on this line that you will require is Marks Tey. From Marks Tey it is approximately 8 miles to the hotel. You can either take a taxi from the station to the hotel or switch trains and go to Chapel train station, which is approximately a mile from Earls Colne. We would be more than happy to book the taxi from either station, or alternatively please feel free to call the hotel for a list of recommended taxi companies.
