First built as an aristocratic villa in 1914, very much appreciated, Hotel Miramare still retains its original Liberty-style elegance. This small and charming hotel on the Bay of Naples is situated between Piazza del Plebiscito and Castel dell'Ovo. The warm atmosphere is complemented by friendly and professional staff. Its location makes it possible to reach cultural sites, and above all, shopping centres, and the port and train station with ease. There is a spectacular view of the Bay and the coast from the beautiful terrace where the buffet breakfast is served when the weather is nice.

Hotel details

Hotel Miramare was first known for its famous restaurant-piano bar, The Shaker Club, which was open from the 1940s to mid-1980s. This was a very popular nightclub which attracted many celebrities, dignitaries, and other top industrial leaders to the hotel. At that time, it was possible to dock boats in front of the Miramare. Boats are now docked a little further up the coast at Mergellina Port. The charming terrace boasts views of the bay. Other facilities include 2 hammocks, chairs and umbrellas, a lobby with 3 sitting rooms with 2 pianos/additional TV room near elevator/solarium.
