The hotel Carat offers 100 well equipped rooms. All rooms with toilet/shower, hair dryer, minibar, TV and Pay TV, telephone and alarm clock. On request we also offer non smoker rooms and two disabled friendly rooms. The roomrate includes use of hotel swimming-pool, sauna and fitness.

Area information Visit castle Monschau, one of the most beautiful castles in our region, that is situated high above the city. You don't like to walk uphill? Take the subway to reach the viewpoint in front of the tower Eselsturm. Enjoy walking or a relaxing stroll trough the national park Eifel (110sqkm) and admire the beauty of this beech grove, lakes and 2 dams. A romantic path leads along the lake Rur and the ancient "Sagenmühle" to a summer toboggan run. Travel information Motorway A4/A44 - Köln-Aachen-Luttich: exit Lichtenbusch. Continue on B 258 to Monschau passing through the small towns Roetgen, Konzen and Imgenbroich (at the roundabout: 2. exit). At the roundabout in front of Monschau's Old Town take the 3rd exit to Monschau. After 500m you reach our hotel at your left hand side. Coming from Schleiden follow the street B 258. In the round about take the 1st exit to Monschau (be aware of and 180° bend!). After 500m you reach our hotel at your left hand side.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged.

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included. Service charge is not applicable. EUR 1.50 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 33.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
