All rooms feature beautiful handmade colourful walls, designed by the renowned colour expert Meta Weiman, lined and draped in contrasting wall-papers and fabrics. Furthermore they are furnished with carefully selected antique and contemporary pieces such as beautiful sofas, oversized easy chairs, refined tables and are decorated with original 17th and 18th century drawings and paintings from Waterland . Needless to say, each room boasts a fully equipped bathroom, outlets for computers and individually controllable heating. We like to serve you personally and therefore all refreshments, coffee and tea is available by room service. Breakfast is served, a la carte, in the restaurant or in the summer on the patio which guarantees a unique and relaxing start of the day. You will experience Suitehotel Posthoorn as ‘a feeling of home away from home’. Note: the hotel is a non-smoking hotel, smoking is not allowed in any of the hotel's rooms.

CONTEMPORARY ROMANTICISM Ideally situated in the hart of tourist hotspots like Marken, Edam and Volendam and just outside the centre of Amsterdam (12 km) you will find our boutique Hotel Posthoorn with five comfortable rooms, each with their one picturesque decoration. Our rooms are named and in style with the historic figures that, in the rich past of our Hotel, stayed or lived in the 17th century building. How differently every room, the rooms are characterized by warmth, romance and the extreme high comfort level. Moreover, all rooms are ideally designed for a romantic stay or for business and therefore guarantee a pleasant stay for privates and businesses people.

Luxurious dining with international allure in an environment where old meets new. Restaurant de Posthoorn is housed in two adjoining listed 17th century buildings of Suitehotel Posthoorn. One can feel the richness of the Golden Century when entering the beautiful façade of the house. Influences of prominent guests of the past like Admiral Dirksz, Persijn family, Napoleon Bonaparte and Princes Juliana are easily traceable throughout the building. Luxurious dining with international allure in an environment where old meets new. Maître Niels G. Nanninga will provide our guests with the correct and informal service which you are accustomed to in an international and exclusive environment like ours. Enjoy our menu Gastronomique or a la Carte, combined with our beautiful wines, mostly directly imported, and handpicked by our sommelier A.J. Boeljon. The restaurant overlooks our veranda and monumental garden that is handsomely fitted with tables and comfortable armchairs where one can enjoy breakfast, high tea, drinks and diner. Please note that the restaurant is always closed on Mondays. If you wish to have dinner in the restaurant please contact the hotel to make arrangements. The restaurant can be fully booked and therefore we advise you to reserve in advance.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 5 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

19 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 1.40 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs EUR 17.50 per person.  Dinner costs EUR 48.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 6 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 37.50 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
