Rooms

The Relais Royal Hotel offers 8 extremely spacious deluxe rooms. 3 of the rooms are suites and as such incorporate a considerable living room with second plasma television. Together with a large private bathroom, facilities in each room include a mini bar, trouser press, hairdryer, satellite television, radio, safe, telephone and internet connection. The rooms are furnished with ample sized beds with lengths of 2 or 2.10 metres. Likewise for our non-smoking guests a number of rooms have been reserved especially for your comfort (subject to availability). Disabled access is facilitated throughout the hotel and one bedroom is specially designed to accommodate the needs and well-being of our disabled guests. Tranquillity, space, opulence and modern convenience all await you.

Hotel details

Extensive renovation by French craftsmen has sympathetically restored the Hotel to its former glory. The nature and attention to detail of the renovations has allowed most of the original features to be kept such as the stunning terracotta tiled floors, the wooden French style ceilings, the marble and natural stone fireplaces, and the Louis XIV nutwood doors,to name but a few. The Hotel offers a blend of culture and innovation, together with luxurious and modern comfort, all of which is in complete harmony with the historical setting of Mirepoix. Our guests can also avail of the south-facing courtyard, garden with swimming pool, and patio. Private garage parking is also available.

Area information

Situated in the medieval castle town of Mirepoix, The Relais Royal**** Hotel is at the centre of the Ariège region and lies at the foot of the Pyrenean Mountains. Discover the fourteenth century galleries in Mirepoix and the St. Maurice Cathedral. Many other beautiful attractions surround the town such as The Cathare Montsegur Castle, the world famous medieval castle town of Carcassonne, Limoux and its vineyards which are an extension of the Languedoc Rousillion vineyards, Toulouse, the Mediterranean Sea, Andorra and Spain. For the more energetic among you there are endless activities to choose from such as walks in the Pyrenees, cycling routes, mountain biking, ski resorts in the Monts d’Olmes, go-carting tracks, golf courses, parachuting clubs, and sailing on the Montbel lake to mention a few. Staff at the hotel will be more than happy to provide you with information and guide you to any number of places and activities.

Travel information

By car: From Toulouse (45 mins) - from the A61 motorway take the A66 towards Foix Andorre, turn off to Mirepoix. From Carcassonne (40 mins) - take the A61 motorway and turn off at the Bram/Mirepoix exit. By plane: The small Pamiers Les Pujols Airport is a mere 15 km away. Carcassonne Salvaza Airport - 40 km. Toulouse Blagnac Airport - 100 km. Perpignan Airport - 115 km. Montpellier Airport - 200 km. Girona Airport (Spain) - 220 km. Barcelona Airport (Spain) - 265 km. By train: Take the TGV to Toulouse and then take the SNCF train to the Pamiers station (20 minutes from Mirepoix) Or take the TGV to Carcassonne (45 minutes from Mirepoix).

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled up to 8 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled up to 3 days before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

5.5 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  EUR 0.90 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs EUR 20.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 20.00 per night and person for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 35.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
