Hotel-Restaurant Du Commerce, very much appreciated, a special hotel in classic style and the oldest hotel in Zeeland, is located in the city centre – once a major port of the Dutch East India Company during the Netherlands’ Golden Age. Middelburg, valued throughout, in the heart of Zeeland, was originally the central fortress in the defence line built to protect the island of Walcheren more than a thousand years ago. With stretches of sandy beach nearby and a number of historical attractions and quaint towns at its doorstep, and above all, this hotel is the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing weekend or midweek break.

The restaurant is well known and popular. Our highly experienced chefs will surprise you with their menus, which can be enjoyed in 2 beautifully ornamented dining rooms. Quality and ambiance will add to your pleasure. An after dinner drink can be enjoyed in our bar. Opening Hours: Breakfast on week days between 07.00 and 10.00 Breakfast on weekend days between 08.00 and 10.30 Start Dinner between 18.00 and 20.00 Bar is opened between 10.00 and 23.00

For payments by credit card there will be a surcharge of 3% of the total amount of the reservation. Please note that pets are not allowed in the restaurant and in the breakfast area.
