Rooms

There is a range of room types available, all provided with mini-bar and safe, from Standard rooms with shower and Superior and Deluxe rooms with bath and bidet, to rooms that are allergy-proof, rooms for people with special needs, with or without assistant, rooms with children’s beds, business rooms and various suite types. All rooms are fitted with air-conditioning and additional ventilation. Smoking rooms are also available.

Congress Centre “EspoCongressi”: In the Monte Morello hall with conference seating for 230, while the Monte Caviano room has seating for 150. Both are equipped with all the latest equipment and facilities for seminars. The Foyer Bisbino with a standing room capacity of 100 is available for receptions and breaks for conference participants. Clubhouse: In the Olive Tree Park, with over 500-year old olive trees, the Clubhouse, with its several meeting rooms, is available for seminars, workshops, family and company events. The garden grill, children’s playground and giant garden chessboard offer guests an escape from the stress of everyday life. Wellness: Guests can make use of the hotel’s own rest and recreation centre from 07:00 to 21:00, equipped with double-sauna, solarium and gym room, as well as toilets and showers for men and women. On the hotel roof there is a unique wind- and noise-protected sun terrace (sun deck) with a 360° view of the Mendrisiotto mountain scenery. Leisure: The hotel has its own beauty shop, gift shop, and other shopping facilities for guests. The famous model train exhibition in the “GB Gallery Baumgartner” offers another entertainment possibility .

Food & Beverages

Hotel Coronado has a number of restaurant options serving both international and local Ticinese specialities. The Locanda San Gottardo is a family restaurant with a weather-protected terrace, Loggia Bellavista, and the San Martino veranda. The Coronado Grill Sant'Agata spoils individual guests and groups alike with its fine haute cuisine. This restaurant is also ideal as a banqueting hall for families and company events. The Monte Orsa, Monte San Giorgio and Club Room San Nicolao meeting-rooms may also be catered for by the hotel kitchen. Caffetteria and bar: visitors may enjoy the cordial atmosphere of the American Piano Bar, adjoining the hotel reception. The street-level Piazzetta Boulevard Café and the traditional English Piccadilly Pub offer foreign specialities.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is included. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs CHF 18.00 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged CHF 80.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
