This is not due to one single element, but it is much rather a harmonious interplay of a number of visible and invisible things, which form a harmonious entirety. Being probably the smallest 4 star hotel in Wachau with a NON SMOKING FLOOR , have our staff will welcome you in a most friendly and caring manner, inviting you to forget the hustle and bustle of every day life and spend some relaxing moments! The hotel is partly accessible for disabled people, however the rooms/bathrooms are not.

Our quality criteria are a matter of personal taste, and the heart of our house lies in our kitchen. Our restaurant is ideal for those who love a stylish and romantic atmosphere and appreciate warm cordiality. We especially recommend fresh fish from home waters, prepared with fresh herbs from our own garden. Opening hours: 4 pm - midnight (Kitchen opens from 5 pm to 10 pm) “Wachau“ Breakfast Buffet from 7 to 10 am Taste the fresh and natural savour of the morning! The spicy fragrance of farmers’ bread. Juicy red apples and fresh vegetables. Savoury the rich Wachau style breakfast buffet with wholemeal bread, muesli, and fruit juices. What our regular guests particularly enjoy is our home made apricot jam, our fresh crisp stone baked bread, our natural organic food and cheese corner, and numerous types of tea at our tea bar.

Area information The Wachau has been declared World Cultural Heritage. The World Cultural Heritage Committee has taken up the 36 kilometre stretch of the Danube Valley between Melk and Krems in Lower Austria as Cultural Landscape on the World Heritage list of the UNESCO. "This short stretch of the Danube Valley - 36 km of a total of 2,800 km – is unique", so the UNESCO criterion. The Wachau is an outstanding example of a riverine landscape bordered by mountains in which material evidence of its long historical evolution has survived to a remarkable degree. Due to its diversified landscape, its important cultural landmarks and its typical small town ensemble, this stretch of the Danube Valley has been credited unique universal value .
