Area information Popular attractions close to the Parkhotel include the 12th-century Burg Falkenstein castle, the scenic Straße der Romanik (Romanic Road) and the Ballenstedter Schlosstheater (castle theatre). Meisdorf is an ideal starting point for hikers, cyclists and Nordic walkers. Lots of well-signposted trails can be found nearby. Day-trip options could include an excursion to the Brocken mountain in the Hochharz national park. The Brocken is approximately 70 kilometres away.
