The Caldera View Hotel is a three star establishment located on the island of Santorini, nestled between the traditional settlements of Akrotiri and Megalochori. Santorini (Thera), the southernmost island of the Greek Cyclades, is situated on the rim of a volcano that last erupted around 1600 BC. In this violent explosion of ash and lava, the sophisticated city of Akrotiri was buried and tidal waves destroyed many of the surrounding island settlements.
