By motorway: From Rome to Sorrento, it takes about 2 and a half hours (245 kilometres). Take the motorway in the direction of Naples then follow directions for Penisola Sorrentina. When you arrive in Castellamare (the exit after Pompeii), head in the direction of Sorrento. After arriving in Sorrento, stop at the Hotel Central main road on the right side for check in. Then, after Sorrento, proceed for about 8 kilometres until you arrive in Massa Lubrense. In the main square, on the right side, head right down to the small port of Marina della Lobra. When you see the main church, you have arrived.
By train: From Rome, take the Rome-Naples train. From the train station in Naples, take the train (Circumvesuviana line) that runs frequently (every 30 minutes from 05:00 to 22:30) from Naples to Sorrento. It takes about one hour. The cost is EUR 3.50 per person.
By bus: From Rome, you can take the bus that leaves from Roma Stazione Tiburtina at 15:00 (only on workdays) and arrives in Sorrento at 18:45. The cost is EUR 15.50 per person (there is also a bus leaving at 07:00 only on Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
From Sorrento Station, there is the Sita line bus that runs to Massa Lubrense.
From Naples Airport to Sorrento, there is a bus service. It takes about one hour and the cost is EUR 5.00 per person.
