Besides the wild beauty of the landscape, very much appreciated, the fascination of the place lies in its mysterious origins. Amongst the young olive groves, valued throughout, vineyards and orchards, at only one km from the Terme di Saturnia arises the suggestive Podere Santa Croce, immersed in the hearth of “Italy that breathes”. Conceived as an ideal place to run away from the noisy daily life, highly regarded, the Podere gives the opportunity to go for a ride in order to discover a nearly uncontaminated nature. After careful restructuring works in accordance with the Tuscany architectural characteristics and with the surrounding environment, and above all, today the stone farmhouse, probably an old oratory, reconciles the ancient flavor with all the modern comforts. At night a homely and folk-art style restaurant is the ideal place to spend very pleasant evenings tasting the typical Tuscany dishes accompanied by local wines such as the famous Morellino di Scansano. On the way back from the excursions to the medieval villages set in the neighborhood, valued throughout, the relax of the guests goes on in front of the fireplace in the reading room or in the comfortable café room.
