Rooms

All of the rooms have been recently refurbished and are decorated in a traditional or boutique style, in keeping with the hotel's history. The 64 individually furnished en suite rooms each reflect the Georgian charm of this country house hotel. Every room is individually decorated, with its own unique charm. All of the rooms are named after Cheshire villages. The majority of the rooms have brass beds or four-poster beds. Some of the rooms have jacuzzi baths.

The hotel has 8 attractively decorated and air-conditioned meeting rooms, each benefiting from a unique direct dial telephone number. The rooms are suitable for conferences, training courses, receptions, private dining and presentations for up to 140 guests. There are also 2 syndicate rooms for one-to-one meetings. Each room is sympathetically decorated, in keeping with the hotel’s historic Georgian style. The facilities combine the elegance of a bygone age with all the convenience of the modern day. Each meeting and event room has high-speed internet access, a flip chart and pens, a stationery box, a speaker phone and a data projector.

Food & Beverages

As part of the hotel’s recent refurbishment, the award winning Coach House Restaurant has been remodelled and re-launched. Newly decorated in a contemporary and yet classical style, the restaurant is light and airy. The Coach House Restaurant offers fine dining and has received an AA Rosette for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses. With a new improved à la carte menu, the restaurant offers modern international delicacies such as roast loin of venison with red cabbage, fondant potato and bitter chocolate sauce or local braised lamb, with potato galette and confit duck faggot. Private dining facilities are also available, with rooms suitable for anything from 2 to 85 guests. Private dining is available in the bright conservatory and in the wood-panelled library, rich in character. The lounge bar offers a calm place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink or an after-dinner nightcap. Room service is available throughout the day and night.

Children/Extra Beds: Please enter requests for cots and/or extra beds for children, noting the age of the child, in the comments box when making your reservation. Group Bookings: Reservations for 6 or more rooms made under the same name and for the same arrival date will be classed as a group booking and may require a deposit or full pre-payment before the date of arrival. Pets: The hotel does not accept pets, with the exception of service animals Extended Stay / Holiday Car Parking: Guests wishing to leave their cars at the hotel whilst on holiday may do so at a charge of GBP 8 per car per day. Please advise at the time of booking if this service is required.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Meal Plan

Continental breakfast is not included and costs GBP 13.50 per person.  Full English breakfast is not included and costs GBP 13.50 per person. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 4 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults stay free of charge for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
