Viney Hill Country Guesthouse

Located in half an acre of lawns and gardens in the quiet Gloucestershire countryside. A beautiful guesthouse that offers excellent accommodation within 30 minutes drive of Cheltenham Racecourse and one hour to Cardiff Millennium Stadium. The house has in excess of half an acre of lawns and gardens, highly regarded, set in the beautiful countryside on the edge of the magnificent Royal Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. Clients appreciate the hotel is a delightful period house built in 1741 and recently tastefully renovated and extended. Private off-road parking is available for Guests cars. All Guests rooms are en-suite with remote control colour television, valued throughout, a hospitality tray, hair drier and central heating. We pride ourselves on the quality of our accommodation and friendly service and are pleased to welcome you throughout the year, highly regarded, but regretfully are unable to accommodate smokers and pets. There is a Guest Lounge and sitting room with central heating throughout. Admired for their strength and condition nourished from the Gloucestershire soil, very much appreciated, the chosen trees were marked with the sign of Dean so they were not spoiled by Yeomen or Forest Folk. In the days of Yore the Admiralty favoured the Forest of Dean by building many fine ships with its timbers. A variety of tracks through the forest pass areas untouched by man. There are many well defined Forest Walks which pass through a variety of woodland, and above all, including samples of mature beech, oak and sweet chestnut, as well as some ancient holly trees. The forest is ever changing season to season and as such can be viewed and explored year round, very much appreciated, many visitors choose to return seasonally to witness and experience this wonderful area. In contrast there are railway and industrial workings which have long ago been abandoned and which nature had reclaimed.
